Spartans Wrap Up Fall Season At Rollins Invite
OCOEE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team finished seventh overall to conclude its fall season at the Rollins College Invitational. The three-round event was played at Forest Lake Golf Course.
The Spartans finished play with a 290 in both the second and third rounds after opening competition with a 304 in Monday's first round. UT finished at 884 (+20) as a team. Lynn (845) won the team championship, followed by Rollins (861), Nova Southeastern (867), Brevard CC (869) and Columbus State (875). Florida Southern (878) was sixth as Tampa finished ahead of Eckerd (895) and Saint Leo (904).
Nicolas Jutigny was first among all Spartans, placing in a 14th place tie. The senior's top round was a 70 in the second as he finished at 218 (+2). Parker Wingfield rounded out the top-20 with a 220 for UT.
Also golfing for the Spartans included Kris Shane (222), Kyle Roy (225), Taylor Noel (225), Brixton Albert (228) and Quin Trigg (231). Shane enjoyed the top round for UT, clubbing a 69 in Tuesday's final round.
