Tampa Closes Out Play at West Florida Invitational
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team concluded the Argonaut Invitational with an 11th place finish. The event was hosted by the University of West Florida at Pensacola Country Club.
After starting competition with a 303 in Monday's opening round, the Spartans closed out the three-round event with a 306 and 309. UT finished at 918, or +54.
Kris Shane paced head coach Rick Christie's team, shooting a 226 (+10) to come in 31st. Shane's top round was a 74 in the second.
Nicolas Jutigny (227) shot a 73 in Tuesday's round to notch a team low round. Taylor Noel (232), Kyle Roy (238) and Mark Cleary (243) also played in UT's lineup.
The Spartans will next travel to Ponce, P.R., to play in the St. John's Invitational from Mar. 7-9.
