Tampa Concludes Final Fall Competition
ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team played to an 11th place finish at the Rollins College Invitational, which was played at Rio Pinar Country Club.
The Spartans concluded the three-round competition with a final round score of 301, marking its top overall round of the tournament. UT posted respective rounds of 309 and 313 on Monday. The Spartans finished at 923, or +59.
Newberry College was the team champion with a score of 867, and was followed by Carson-Newman, Rollins, Columbus State and Lynn.
Jared Pane was the top golfer for the Spartans, finishing 12th overall with a 219. His top round was an opening score of 71 as his three-round score was +3.
Also golfing for head coach Rick Christie's squad was Taylor Noel (229), Geoff Baulet (236), Kevin Genuardi (236), Steve Embree (236), Mark Cleary (241) and Parker Wingfield (249).
