Spartans Open Spring Season at Titan Winter Invitational
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team opened spring play with a 10th-place showing at the Titan Winter Invitational, which was hosted by Brevard College.
The Spartans finished at 917, or +917, after clubbing rounds of 303, 306 and 308. Brevard won the team title with an 875, followed by Florida Tech (880), Webber International (889), Saint Leo (892) and Johnson & Wales (896).
Jeff Baulet paces the UT lineup, finishing 40th with a 231 (+15). Baulet's top round was a 71 in the second. Also competing for the Spartans were Parker Wingfield (232), Steven Embree (232), Mark Cleary (234), Taylor Noel (234) and Josh Detmer (258).
Tampa returns to action on Feb. 19-20 at the Webber International Invitational, which will be played in Lake Wales, Fla.
