Spartans 12th at McDonough Cup

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team played to a 12th-place performance at the McDonough Cup.

• Robert Montagnino | 10th overall, 219 (+3)
• Hogan Bendert | 32nd overall, 226 (+10)
• Pablo Wills | 60th overall, 236 (+20)
• Nate Kosarich | 64th overall, 238 (+22)
• Nick DiMarco | 66th overall, 239 (+23)

OTHER NOTABLES:

• Montagnino was the top Spartan for the second straight tournament.
• The top overall round for a Spartan was an opening-round 69 from Montagnino on Monday.
• Alex Hellewell was registered as an individual and shot a 221 (+5) to finish 12th overall. Spencer Olson played to a 69th place finish with a 241 (+25) as the other individual.
• A total of 14 teams competed.
• UT was joined by team champion and host Rollins, Embry-Riddle (2nd) and Eckerd (10th) from the Sunshine State Conference.
• Morgan Egloff was the medalist with a three-round score of 208 (-8) as he won by one shot.

This concludes the fall season for Gary Hilton's Spartans. UT opens the spring season on February 2-4 at the Titan Winter Invitational at Su Tree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla.
