Greg Griffo to Represent UT at North-South All-Star Game
RADNOR, Pa. - University of Tampa men's lacrosse player Greg Griffo has been selected to play in the USILA/LAXWORLD North South Game
The game features players from NCAA Division I and II institutions and is being played at Edith Robb Dixon Field on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., on Friday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m.
Griffo, who just completed his eligibility with the Spartans, was a two-year letterwinner for the Spartans while playing on the inaugural UT men's lacrosse team in 2012. He recently was honored as an All-American, becoming the first in program history.
A midfielder from Babylon, N.Y., Griffo was the team's leading scorer in each of his two seasons as a Spartan. In 32 games, he concluded his UT career with 42 goals, 29 assists, 71 points, 208 shots, two game-winning goals and 11 caused turnovers.
He departs Tampa as the program's all-time leader in points, goals, assists, shots, shots per game, shots on goal per game and man-down goals.
