Tampa Concludes Season in Men’s Soccer Top-25
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The University of Tampa men's soccer team has concluded the 2012 season at No. 22 in the NSCAA Division II national poll, which was announced Tuesday.
The Spartans finished the season with a 10-6-1 overall record and received a bid to the 2012 NCAA Division II Tournament after a semifinal appearance at the 2012 Sunshine State Conference Tournament.
Tampa is one of three Sunshine State Conference schools in the top-25, joined by national champion Lynn (1) and Rollins (7).
This marks the fifth consecutive season that Tampa has been represented in the national rankings and the eighth week this season where UT has been in the top-25 after opening the season unranked. The Spartans top showing of 2012 was No. 7 in the third installment of the rankings.
