Brian Fekete Competes at MLS Draft Combine
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Former University of Tampa men's soccer player Brian Fekete competed over the weekend at the 2013 adidas MLS Player Combine at Central Broward Regional Park.
Fekete was among a total of 72 players invited to the combine, which is a precursor to the SuperDraft on Jan. 17.
A defender from Plant City, Fla., Fekete was a three-time All-American for the Spartans. The first-team all-Sunshine State Conference selection started all 17 games as a senior and registered one goal and four assists with leading the team with 1,495 minutes. His lone goal also went down as a game-winner against Florida Tech.
The four-year starter played a total of 69 games throughout his Spartan career, tallying seven goals and 15 assists. He also ranks third in UT history with 5,460 minutes played.
