The No. 21 University of Tampa (6-4-1, 0-3 SSC) men's soccer team fell to Florida Tech (6-3-1, 3-1 SSC) by a score of 1-0.
"You can't play a half of game in this league" says head coach Adrian Bush. "True character comes out in difficult moments. I look forward to seeing how they respond."
Florida Tech got on the board in the 30th minute with Josh Thomas netting the goal. Trey Collins was credited with the assist on the score.
The Panthers outshot the Spartans 12-2 in the first half while goalkeeper Zak Downes captured two saves. Both teams also notched two corner kicks in the period.
UT opened the second half with intense offensive pressure outshooting FIT 12-2. Nicolai Hammer, Alex Knaggs, and Daniel Barboto each tallied a shot on goal in the period.
Jason Collister and Brandon Loafman also contributed to the Tampa attack with two shots.
