Tars Top Spartans in Conference Finale

The University of Tampa (8-6-2, 2-5-1 SSC) men's soccer team fell to Rollins (9-4-1, 5-2-1 SSC) by a final score of 2-1 on Saturday night.
"It's diappointing and we need to have more consistency in our work rate for a full 90 minutes," says head coach Adrian Bush. "Our players fought hard in the second half."
In the 23rd minute the Spartans scored the first goal of the night from freshman Monty Berrow assisted by junior Chris Campbell.
The Tars offense was quick to respond and tied the game in the 31st minute with a score from freshman Mott Volk assisted by sophomore Tosan Popo.
Rollins managed to net the last goal of the night in the 42nd minute assisted by senior Skyler Russell and junior Brett Durrance.
Tampa's offense was led by Nikolai Hammer with two shots on goal. The Spartans totaled four shots on goal for the night.

"The seniors have been great student-athletes and have put in a great contribution to the program in the last 4 years," states Bush. "We really wanted to send them off with a win tonight and we get another chance next Saturday at Nova."
