TAMPA, Fla. - The Spartans men's soccer team took on the Eagles of Embry-Riddle Saturday night and Shelled their guests 4-0 at Pepin Stadium.
Tampa outshot their Embry-Riddle 17-7 that ultimately was a difference as the Eagles keeper Jeff Bone couldn't stand the barrage of shots from the Spartan players.
Scoring for UT was Monty Berrow, who tallied his first two goals on the season at the 10' and 17' minute marks. Also notching goals in the offensive onslaught was Jason Collister at the 27-minute mark and Chris Campbell at the 46 minute mark, who both drove home goals to ensure there would be no late-game heroics.
Defensively, Christian Knight posted his third clean sheet of the season. The Tampa defense played aggressively and helped launch an explosive Spartan counter attack.
