Spartans Conclude NCAA Championships Among Nation’s Best
CANTON, Ohio - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams finished the 2010 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships with its third straight top-15 finish by both teams. The UT men were 11th as the women came in at 12.
Chris O'Linger capped off his stellar championships with a fifth place finish in the 1,650 Free. He registered a time of 15:37.66.
A total of 11 Spartans achieved All-American status. Joining O'Linger were Jeff Fiore, Tyler Furrer, Frank Kuchta, and Roman Sereda on the men's side. Jessie Bardin, Stephanie Branham, Ellie Eshleman, Hannah Hudson, Kristine Kassl and Emilee Margiotta represented UT's women on the list.
Drury University was crowned as the national champion in both the men's and women's venues.
