Spartans Conclude Day One of NCAA Championships With School Record Performance
GENEVA, Ohio - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams competed at the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, securing an All-American relay performance to go with a school record.
Following the first day, the UT men stand in 10th place with a total of 31 points. Drury leads the men with 144.5 points as Wayne State is the top women's squad at 120 points.
Tampa's school record came in the 200 Medley Relay from the team of Karl Burdis, Philip Nordenberg, Runar Borgen and Jeremy Parker. They also became All-Americans as they registered a time of 1:28.24.
Runar Borgen was 12th in the 50 Free with a time of 20.37. Heather Glenday also finished 21st in the 1,000 Free for Tampa.
