Twelve Spartans Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America
TAMPA, Fla. - A total of 12 student-athletes from the University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams received Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
In all, 283 institutions placed swimmers or divers on All-American lists.
Tampa's men placed seven on the list, including Zane Hranac, Jeremy Parker and Victor Philaire. Also earning honorable mention honors were Clayton Clemens, Danny Duhig, Kyle Freudiger and Tommy Reminger.
The Spartan women had five honorees, including Allison Chandler, Briana Murphy and Erin Plachy. Earning honorable mention honors were Emily Grams and Jesse North.
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.
