SSC Names Joe Bozzi as Swimmer of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. - For the second time this season, the Sunshine State Conference has selected University of Tampa men's swimmer Joe Bozzi as its Swimmer of the Week.
Bozzi earns Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season for his performance in a dual-meet at Florida State. The New Lenox, Illinois, native was the top UT swimmer following a third-place finish in the 1000 Free with a time of 9:34.18. Bozzi also took fifth place in the 500 Free with a time of 4:37.56. His times missed the NCAA "B" provisional qualifying mark by less than three seconds.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of January 24 - 30, 2022. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
