Women Second, Men Third After SSC Swimming Championships Day Three
CLEARWATER, Fla. – The third day of the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Swimming Championships concluded with Nova Southeastern extending their lead on the top of the standings for both men and women. The Sharks turned in four first-place finishes throughout the night. One Division II Record, one Conference Record, and three meet records were set.

Top Performances:
In women's competition, NSU's May Lowy set a new meet record and took home the gold with a time of 4:15.57 in the 400 IM. Luna Mertins of Lynn finished with a time of 53.45 in the 100 Butterfly, breaking the previous SSC record. Beatriz Olivieri took the first gold medal of the session for Rollins with a time of 1:49.29 in the 200 Freestyle. Nova Southeastern's 400 Medley Relay, consisting of Celina Marquez, Savanna Best, Aleksandra Maslova, and Cassie Wright set a new Division II record with a time of 3:37.18.
Jarryd Baxter from Nova Southeastern finished first in the 400 IM, on the men's side, with a time of 3:48.62. In the 100 Butterly, Steven Aimable would pick up another gold for the Sharks finishing at 46.95. Harold Lockhart of Rollins set a new meet record in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:35.46. Florida Southern's 400 Medley Relay would set a meet record as well as Brandon Dyck, Ludovico Viberti, Miguel Bernotti, and Kyle Micallef would touch the wall in 3:10.43.
