UT Competes at Pair of Weekend Races
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams were at a pair of races over the weekend, including the Florida Relays and Embry-Riddle Spike Invite.
At the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Vanessa Righeimer turned in a new personal record in the 5K with a 17:39. Kelly Hagan finished the 1,500 in 4:39.30, marking a season-best effort for the senior. Chantalle Blundell competed in the steeple chase, being timed at 11:22.
At the Embry-Riddle Spike Invite, Geremy DeWitt ran the 1,500 in 4:07.34. In the 800 Meter Run, Sarah Waller was 10th with a time of 2:26.53. Tori Ehrhardt won her heat at 2:32.76. Jessie Boria was 11th in the 800 Meter Run with an effort of 1:59.54.
The Spartans will host the annual UT Invite on Saturday, April 12 at Pepin Stadium.
