CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team was ninth overall at the Royals Cross Country Challenge.

OTHER NOTABLES:
• For the first time of 2017, Turner was the top finisher for the Spartans.
• Wilson has finished in the top-three among Spartan runners in all three races.
• A total of 22 teams competed in the race.
• In addition to the Spartans, other Sunshine State Conference schools included Saint Leo (2) and Florida Tech (8).
• Tampa entered a total of 11 runners. Brendan Twiggs, Noah Elliott, Sam Schaeffer, Joey Maus, James Dooley and Triston Vaira also ran for UT.
