Deanna Henriott and Kayla Cox Honored as NFCA All-Americans
STARKVILLE, Miss. - On the same day she was also named a Daktronics All-American, University of Tampa senior pitchers Deanna Henriott and Kayla Coxwas also among the 45 players from 31 different institutions selected to the 2012 NFCA Division II All-American teams.
Henriott, a senior pitcher from St. Petersburg, Fla., earned third-team All-American honors. The program leader in every pitching category.
In 2012, Henriott threw three no-hitters, including her second career perfect game. She concluded the year with a 21-6 record to go with a 1.13 ERA. Cox also added a pair of no-hitters, including one at the NCAA tournament against Barry.
The NFCA All-American team was voted on by member coaches from NCAA Division II institutions.
