Spartans Score Four Unanswered to Complete Sixteen Inning Comeback
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 1 University of Tampa Softball Team walks it off in the sixteenth inning to complete the comeback with four unanswered runs after falling behind three in the first inning.

After the Chargers scored three in the first, the Spartans mounted their slow comeback with a sacrifice fly from Mariah Galhouse to bring home Lauren Fantone for Tampa's first run to cut their deficit to two. | 3-1 Alabama-Huntsville, End 3rd

Caroline Watson would cut the Spartan's deficit to one with a one-out RBI single to center field to bring home Mackenzie Allen. | 3-2 Alabama-Huntsville, End 6th

With the Spartans down one with their last chance to score, Tampa wouldn't shy away from crunch time. Galhouse would lead off the inning with a walk and would advance to second on a Charger's wild pitch. Senior Galhouse started in the circle for the Spartans. After giving up three runs in the first, she showed why she is a First-Team conference pitcher. Galhouse pitched 8 innings, striking out 2, allowing 3 runs (1 Earned), 2 walks, and 5 hits.
