Tampa Women's Basketball Adds Danielle Delano
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa head women's basketball coach Tom Jessee has announced the addition of Danielle Delano.
Delano, who is from Enfield, Connecticut comes to Tampa after spending three years at Central Connecticut State University. The transfer arrives after seeing action in 17 games last season. She recorded 63 points, 11 assists, and 13 steals during her junior campaign. Delano scored a season high 11 points against Saint Francis University.
In her three seasons with CCSU Delano appeared in over 50 games. In her sophomore year, Delano saw action in 27 games. She finished the season scoring 89 points and collecting 31 rebounds while also adding 31 assists and 17 steals to her name. During that campaign she went 10-12 from the foul line which was good for a .833 percentage.
Delano brings two remaining years of eligibility to the Spartans. She will enroll at the University of Tampa in fall of 2021 and immediately be eligible.
