Tampa Captures First Women’s Golf Championship at Webber Invite
LAKE WALES, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team took top honors at the two-round Webber International Invitational, topping Thomas, Webber and Johnson & Wales at Lake Wales Country Club.
The Spartans shot rounds of 344 and 347 to finish at 691. Thomas came in second at 714, as Webber and Johnson & Wales shot scores of 727 and 758.
Kendra Bishop was the top scorer for the Spartans, finishing in third place with a final score of 157, or +13. Bishop shot a 79 and finished play with a team-best round of 78.
Erin Meister also placed in the top-10 overall, finishing seventh with a 167. Allie Steffens rounded out the top-10 with a 182 as Stephanie Norman (185) and Kirsten Dwyer (197) also competed.
