UT Competes With Several Division I Schools at NIU Invite
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team played to an 11th-place finish at the Northern Illinois University Snowbird Invitational, which was played at Pebble Creek Golf and Country Club in Tampa.
The Spartans clubbed a two-round score of 762, with a second round showing of 373. Southern Illinois University took first place, shooting a 620. SIU's Margaret Gilley also medaled as the top individual performer with a 147.
Kendra Bishop finished in a 14th place tie, leading all Spartans. Her second round 77 was also tops on the team as she finished at 160.
Also competing for Tampa were Stephanie Norman (186), Allie Steffens (206), Kelsey Kennedy (210), Brianna Lewis (241) and Kara Flando (216).
The Spartans return to the links on March 22-24 at the Cincinnati Invitational, which will be played at the Plantation Inn Resort in Crystal River, Fla.
