Tampa Opens Spring Season at World Golf Invitational
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team finished 12th overall at the World Golf Invitational, a two-round event that featured several elite programs. The event was played at The Slammer & Squire Course.
UT shot rounds of 344 and 330 to come in at 674 (+98). Sunshine State Conference opponent Lynn University was the top team, stroking a 591 (+15). Lynn's Jessica Bradley was the medalist with an individual score of 140 (-4).
Freshman Grace Ziamandanis led the Spartans with a 164 (+20) as she carded a consistent 82 in both rounds. She placed 44th overall. Brittany Bradshaw (170), Grace Marie Schian (170), Jenee Vanderstyne (171) and Robin Manarik (176) also represented UT.
Ziamandanis was joined by Schian and Vanderstyne as the latter two carded an 82 in the final round.
UT will return to action at the Florida Southern Invitational on Feb. 17-18. The tournament will be played at Grasslands Country Club.
