UT Registers Impressive Performance at Guy Harvey Invitational

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The University of
Tampa women's golf competed at the Guy Harvey Invitational, playing
to a 13th-place finish in a tournament that featured teams from
across the nation.
Nova Southeastern University served as the host and finished
second to fellow Sunshine State Conference opponent Lynn
University. The Fighting Knights won with a team score of 605. UT
came in at 650.
The two-round event was played at the PGA National Palmer
Course and featured a total of 18 teams. After shooting a 337 in
the opening round, the Spartans improved by 24 strokes to card a
313 in Tuesday's final round.
Freshman Cailee Beisswanger led Tampa with a 159 after
shooting a second-round 75 to lead UT. Beisswanger would finish
43rd overall.
Also golfing for the Spartans were Grace Marie Schian (161),
Jess Wild (165), Hanna Grevelius (168) and Alyssa Morahan
(169).
Tampa returns to action at the Saint Leo Invitational on
October 20-21. The event will be played at Lake Jovita Country Club
in Dade City, Fla.
