Pair of Spartan Teams Compete at Saint Leo Invitational

DADE CITY, Fla. - The University of Tampa had
a pair of teams at the Saint Leo Invitational, placing 13th overall
as the "B" team was 14th in the 17-team field.
Tampa shot rounds of 332 and 324 to come in at 656 (+80). The
B team had a total score of 686. The team champion was Florida Tech
with a 589 (+13) as four of the top five teams were from the
Sunshine State Conference.
Freshman Cailee Beisswanger was UT's top performer, firing a
159 (+15) to rank 41st individually. Beisswanger's second-round
score of 78 marked the top round for the Spartans and was also the
lone sub-80 round.
Jess Wild (163), Grace Marie Schian (167), Alyssa Morahan
(171) and Fatin Amin (172) all competed for UT's top team.
Comprising the B team was Hanna Grevelius (165), Holly Cannon
(172), Maria Horvath (174), Brittany Bradshaw (176) and Gabrielle
Miller (184).
The Spartans will play their fourth and final event of the
fall season on October 27-28 at the Flagler College Fall Slam. The
tournament will be played at Marsh Creek Country Club in St.
Augustine, Fla.
