Spartans Open Spring Season at Flagler

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team opened its spring season with a 15th-place effort at the World Golf Invitational, which was hosted by Flagler College at Slammer and Squire Golf Course.
The Spartans finished play with a total of 662 in two rounds of play. UT carded rounds of 339 and 323. Sunshine State Conference foe Florida Tech won the team title with a two-round score of 604.
Grace Marie Schian led the way for the Spartans, finishing 28th overall with a score of 159. Schian's second-round 77 also marked the top round of the tournament for Tampa.
Also golfing for the Spartans were Alyssa Morahan (167), Fatin Amin (169), Sydney Stengel (174) and Hanna Grevelius (176).
Tampa will return to action on February 22-23 at the Florida Southern Invitational, which will be played at Grasslands Country Club in Lakeland, Fla.
