Tampa Women's Golf Finishes 15th at FSC Invitational
The Spartans held their own against several powerhouse teams from across the region.
LAKELAND, Fla. - Playing against a large contingent of teams from across the Sunshine State Conference and NCAA South Region, the University of Tampa women's golf team placed 15th at the Florida Southern College Invitational.
The tournament included two rounds on Monday, followed by a single round on Tuesday. The event was played at Grasslands Golf and Country Club.
UT finished at 964, with rounds of 330, 314 and 320. Fellow SSC opponents Lynn University and Rollins College won the team title with a 908, as the top four included teams from the SSC as Florida Southern (911) and Barry University (916) followed.
Grace Marie Schian led Tampa, finishing in 41st place with a three-round score of 234. Schian clubbed rounds of 83, 76 and 75, with the latter representing the top individual round for the Spartans.
Also representing UT were Fatin Amin (241), Sydney Stengel (243), Alyssa Morahan (248), Hanna Grevelius (250) and Holly Cannon (254).
Tampa will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Rollins Invitational, with the practice round scheduled for Sunday at Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs, Fla.
