Tampa Finishes Fifth at Panther Invitational
Grace Marie Schian was the top performer for the Spartans in the final regular-season tourney.
VIERA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's golf team concluded its regular season with a fifth-place effort at the Panther Invitational. The-three-round tournament was hosted by Florida Tech at Duran Golf Course.
The Spartans shot rounds of 331, 335 and 325 to finish at 991. Host and sunshine State Conference opponent Florida Tech won the team title with a 912, followed by Lynn (926), West Alabama (953) and Shorter (985).
Grace Marie Schian led Tampa with a 242, finishing 15th overall. Her opening round 76 also went down as the top round for a Spartan.
Also competing for UT were Alyssa Morahan (244), Jess Wild (250), Fatin Amin (255) and Sydney Stengel (261).
Tampa returns to action on April 16-19 at the 2016 SSC Championships at Crandon Golf Course in Key Biscayne, Fla.
