Six Spartans Named IWLCA All-Region Selections

The University of Tampa has more student-athletes selected to the IWLCA All-South Region team than any other institution in the South region.

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division II with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2019. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will celebrate the 2019 All-Americans during Divisional All-American Specials, which will be aired on Lax Sports Network in mid-June.

Of the 128 student-athletes, Tampa has six student-athletes who were recognized by the IWLCA as selections for this honor. Sophomore Bridget Sutter named to the IWLCA All-South Region first team for the second year in a row, joined by other first-team selections, SSC Player of the Year, Claire Swanson, and SSC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, Carly Vaccaro. Alexa Scudillo repeats second-team honors for the Spartans. Scudillo is joined this season by teammates Caroline Forester and Kristyn Staley.
