UT Women's Lacrosse Set for SSC Championship
LAKELAND, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team travels to Lakeland to take on Florida Southern in the SSC Championship.

How They Got Here:
Both teams earned byes to the semifinal round after finishing first and second in the SSC standings.
#1 Florida Southern extended their winning streak to 11 games by defeating #4 Lynn University 18-11 in the semifinals. Jackie Stoller scored six goals to lead all players and Madison Tare scored five. Tare also added three assists. McKenzie Gaghan saved seven shots in the win. The Mocs lead the conference with 323 goals scored. They're second in goals against average, allowing 11.28 per game.
#2 Tampa defeated #3 Saint Leo University 17-12 to advance to the finals. The Spartans scored the first four goals of their semifinal matchup and never relinquished the lead. Sophi Wrisk scored five goals and Gracie Colombo added four. Alex Walling made nine saves in the win. The Spartans have allowed only 142 goals this season, an average of just 8.34 per game. Both marks are best in the SSC.
2024: Florida Southern defeated Tampa 11-10 in Lakeland on March 29th. Stoller and Ellie Griffin each scored three goals in the win. Colombo scored three for the Spartans. Walling made 12 saves on 23 shots in the losing effort.
