UT Adds Two Members To Women’s Soccer Class
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's soccer program has announced that Mackenzie Logan and Amber Pennybaker have signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend the school. Both will enroll and be eligible for the fall of 2011.
Logan and Pennybaker become the eighth and ninth signees in the Class of 2011, joining midfielders Carly Keene (Odessa, Fla.), Lauren Moore (Tampa, Fla.) and Gabby Russo (Middleton, Mass.); defenders Ashley Cartlidge (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Candice Shields (Virginia Beach, Va.) and forwards Jenny Karl (New Port Richey, Fla.) and Taryn McClendon (Cave Creek, Ariz.).
Logan is a goalkeeper from Tampa, Fla., attending Tampa Prep. Pennybaker hails from Indianapolis where she will graduate from North Central High School.

Lucey on Logan: "Mackenzie is a relative newcomer
to playing between the posts," says head coach Gerry Lucey.
"However, in this short time, she has distinguished herself as a
formidable goalkeeper and we fully expect Mackenzie to continue her
climb. We hope that she will compete for a starting position this
year and set herself high goals. Mackenzie spent most of her soccer
career as a field player so her understanding and footwork are
better than most keepers. We are also excited as Mackenzie is
another talented local player."
