Spartans Drop Match at Lynn
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's soccer team dropped a Sunshine State Conference matchup against the Lynn University Fighting Knights Saturday night at Bobby Campbell Stadium. The loss moves Tampa's season record to 5-5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The Spartans attack opened quickly, with Stephanie deLaforcade nearly putting Tampa on the board in the fifth minute. She was met with a diving save by the Lynn keeper. Six minutes later, deLaforcade nearly buried another, but once again could not capitalize. Elena Barr broke through in the 38th minute, assisted by Michelle Kanaskie. Lynn answered just under a minute later to tie the match, 1-1 in the 39th minute. Score: 1-1 Tied
SECOND HALF: Lynn scored what ended up the game-winner in the 52nd minute. Jackie Morris had the equalizer on her right foot in the 69th minute but hit left post and bounced out. Final: 2-1 Lynn
INSIDE THE STATS:
- UT outshot Lynn 12-9 but trailed in shots on goal, 8-6.
- Seven Spartans played a full 90 minutes: Lovisa Camel, Barr, Quinn Knapp, Morris, Brooke Steigerwalt, Gabby Desautels, and Erin McCarthy.
- Camel has logged four or more saves in seven matches this season.
