Hostage, Taiwo, and DeLaforcade Earn All-SSC Selections
TAMPA, Fla. – Twenty-five women's soccer athletes from eight institutions earn 2021 All-SSC honors. Katherine Hostage receives Player of the Year, Reni Taiwo earns a spot on All-SSC second team, and Stephanie DeLaforcade receives honorable mention.
Hostage was named Player of the Year and earned a spot on the SSC All-Conference first team following a team-high 23 points off nine goals and five assists during the regular season. The Southborough, Massachusetts native started all 16 games and provided the Spartans with four game-winners. Hostage is the third Spartan to be named Player of the Year, first since 2012.
Taiwo earned a spot on the All-SSC second team after appearing in every game this season. She has proven to be an asset for the Spartans backline. Taiwo has been selected as a member of the All-SSC second team three times, being selected in 2018, 2019, and 2021. She is the only athlete to repeat as All-SSC for a third consecutive season.
DeLaforcade earns honorable mention after appearing in every game for the Spartans this season. The East Lyme, Connecticut native tallied 21 points off eight goals and five assists.
