Win Streak Hits Seven As UT Tops St. Olaf
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa (7-10) tennis team continued its excellent play with a 7-2 victory over St. Olaf, Minn., College (8-2). The win improves UT's winning streak to seven matches.
The Spartans grabbed the momentum while winning all three doubles matches. The number three team of Lindsey Garyn and Megan Mancini came through with a 9-7 victory as the number one team of Kourtney Stark/Claire Runge (8-6) joined the two team of Emily Kennedy/Victoria Bell (8-5) in the winning column.
In singles play, Lauren Holt won her number two doubles match (6-4, 6-0). Stark (6-0, 6-3), Bell (6-0, 6-2) and Runge (6-2, 6-1) also won in singles for Tampa as the three through five spots.
Tampa returns to the court on Saturday as it resumes Sunshine State Conference play against No. 4 Lynn University. The match is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
