Two Match Win Streak Comes To End As St. Olaf Defeats Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. - After winning two consecutive matches, the No. 40 University of Tampa (4-8) tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback against St. Olaf College (6-1) on Tuesday at the UT Tennis Complex.
Tampa's victories came at the number-one and two singles spots as Leslie Raymond and Megan Mancini each won. Raymond defeated Abigail Ho in three sets by a score of 3-6, 6-2, 10-7. Mancini earlier defeated Caitlin Harper by straight set scores of 6-4, 6-1.
The Spartans are back in action on Friday as it travels to Boca Raton to face Sunshine State Conference opponent and No. 3 Lynn University at 6 p.m. UT will then conclude the trip at No. 42 Palm Beach Atlantic University on Saturday at 10 a.m.
