Lions Roar Past Spartans in SSC Tennis Action
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 26 University of Tampa tennis team was defeated by No. 12 Saint Leo University by a score of 8-1 on Wednesday at the Naimoli and Young Tennis Complex.
The Spartans are now 6-3 on the season and 2-3 in Sunshine State Conference play as Saint Leo moves to 7-2 and 3-1 in league action.
Tampa's number-one doubles team of Meg Wladimirski and Lauren Hewett won by a score of 9-7.
Tampa returns to action on Monday when it hosts Walsh University for a 3 p.m., meet.
