Tampa Drops SSC Tourney Match to Florida Tech
BOCA RATON, Fla. - The No. 14 University of Tampa (15-7) tennis team fell by a score of 5-3 to No. 20 Florida Tech (15-9) on Friday in the backdraw of the 2013 Sunshine State Conference Championships.
Tampa took one of the three doubles matches, coming back at number-one to win by a score of 9-8. The duo of Lauren Hewett and Meg Wladimirski prevailed in the tie breaker by a score of 7-5.
In singles, Tampa picked up a pair of victories with wins from the number two and four spots. Wladimirski won by a score of 6-0, 6-1 as Lindsay Nochowicz was a 6-1, 6-1 victor.

Tampa returns to action on Saturday against No. 21 Nova Southeastern in the No. 7 match at 9 a.m. Saturday marks the final day of competition at the SSC tournament.
