UT Blanks St. Olaf
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 45 University of Tampa (9-6) tennis team won by a 9-0 score over St. Olaf College (8-2) on Friday at the Naimoli & Young Family Tennis Complex.
Kristen Mee and Kelsey Matthews claimed an 8-2 victory in number one doubles, and were followed by Gianna Pinasco and Emily Hewland (8-4) and Cameron Moskol and Jenelle Morgan (8-1) in the victory column.
Each Spartan won in straight sets in singles play, including the lineup of Mee, Matthews, Pinasco, Hewland, Moskol and Morgan.
Tampa will now focus its attention on the remainder of the regular season, which features four pivotal Sunshine State Conference matches as the Spartans will need at lead two victories to qualify for the six-team SSC Championships. UT travels to Florida Southern on Tuesday at 3 p.m., and then Rollins on Thursday at 1 p.m.
