Weekly Preview: No. 14 Tampa Set for Battle Against Academy of Arts and No. 18 ERAU

Tampa come off a victory Wednesday, March 19th against Florida Southern College.

No. 14 Tampa look to get another streak going with upcoming nationally ranked competition this weekend. Tampa will play at home to face Academy of Art on Tuesday, March 26th, then host the No. 18 ranked team in the country, Embry-Riddle, Saturday, March 30th. The Spartans last match resulted in a 4-3 victory against Florida Southern. Kristina Miletic won her singles match on Court 5 to break the tie score (4-3). Miletic/Cieniak & Wilberg/Williams doubles teams contributed to the win shutting out their opponents. Academy of Art is a new school for Tampa, since on Tuesday will be the first time both teams play. No. 18 Embry-Riddle has an 8-5 all-time record against No. 14 Tampa.

Academy of Art

The Urban Knights won their their last match against Cal State LA, 6-1. With a season record of 7-3 and without having played any conference match, Academy of Art will fly to Florida to face the Spartans and also some SSC matches before returning to San Francisco, Cal.

No. 18 Embry-Riddle

Embry-Riddle is having a great start of the season with a record of 10-4 and a SSC record of 3-2. Embry-Riddle's last game was against West Alabama resulting in a 4-1 victory. The Eagles are looking on Saturday for a victory to have a better record in the SSC and be over Tampa in the standings.
