Margeaux Sinibaldi Earns Academic All-American Honors
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa volleyball player Margeaux Sinibaldi became the 25th player in Spartan athletics history to be named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American. The third-team selection also becomes the first UT volleyball player since Susanne Wolmesjo in 1988 to earn the honor and the fourth in program history.
A first-team academic all-district selection, Sinibaldi has excelled in both the classroom and the court. The UT and Sunshine State Conference all-time digs leader carried a 3.88 cumulative GPA while majoring in English.
Voting for this honor is conducted by Sports Information Directors through CoSIDA. Eligible student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for his/her career. No athlete is eligible until she has reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his/her current institution.
