No. 9 Tampa Spartans Clinch Sunshine State Conference Championship With Win Over Rollins
TAMPA, Fla. – The ninth ranked University of Tampa volleyball team continues their dominant play with a win over Rollins College.

All-Time Series: Tampa currently holds a sizeable lead in the series against Rollins College, with a lead of 95-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: The first set began with a battle between the Spartans and the Tars. Both teams scored points early in the set, keeping the overall score close. Towards the end of the set, the Spartans held a 21-14 lead, causing the Tars to call a timeout. The Spartans would win this set, with a score of 25-17. Sorrel Houghton and Mackenzie Dufresne each logged four kills in the set. || Score: 1-0 Tampa
Second Set: The second set opened a lot like the first, with both teams scoring points early. The Tars were forced to call a timeout towards the middle of the set, with the Spartans in the lead 17-11. At the end of the set, the Spartans held a 21-13 lead, which caused the Tars to call another timeout. In the end, the Spartans offense would prove too much for the Tars. The Spartans would take this set 25-15, behind Katie McKiel's five kills. || Score: 2-0 Tampa
Third Set: The third set opened similarly to the first two, with the teams keeping the score close. In the middle of the set, the Tars took their first lead 9-8. The Spartans would keep pushing back, not letting the Tars get the win so easily. Towards the end of the set, the Spartans had a 18-12 lead, and had all of the momentum on their side. The Tars felt the pressure and called a timeout. Ultimately, the Spartans would prove too much for the Tars once again, and win the set 25-19. || Score: 3-0 Tampa
