Tampa Seventh in Final Race Before SSC Championships
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Tampa women's cross country team competed at the largely-attended University of Alabama in Huntsville Invitational, placing seventh among 44 teams in contention.

- Hannah Capel | 31st overall, 18:03.50
- Emma Skinner | 41st overall, 18:09.90
- Riley Kwiatkowski | 58th overall, 18:24.60
- Katelyn Deitrick | 68th overall, 18:31.60
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Gordon was the top Spartan for the second consecutive race.
- Capel has been among the team's top two finishers in all three races she has participated in this season.
- Establishing new personal best times were Gordon, Capel, Skinner, Kwiatkowski, Tabitha Suggs, Eva DeMarco, Nikki Bezborodko and Manon Blackman.
- Head coach Logan Wells registered nine runners in the event.
- Johanna Wistokat of Christian Brothers won the individual title with a time of 17:15.70.
- Also representing the Sunshine State Conference was Palm Beach Atlantic (6), Saint Leo (11), Embry-Riddle (14), Nova Southeastern (16) and Florida Southern (17).

UT now turns it focus to the postseason, and will next compete at the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Saturday, November 5 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
