Bio
Christina Marchitelli joined the University of Tampa as an Academic Athletics Mentor in August 2025. In her role, she supports student-athletes in achieving academic success by monitoring academic performance, connecting them with tutoring resources, providing guidance in college major requirements, and helping them develop effective study and time management techniques. She assists with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings and manages the Instagram account.
Before joining UT, Christina earned both her Master of Science in Sport Management (2024) and Bachelor of Science in Strength and Conditioning for Human Performance (2023) from SUNY Cortland. As an undergraduate, Christina was a member of the Cross Country and Track & Field team. At Cortland, she was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for a variety of sports teams, including the Division 3 NCAA Championship football team. Christina designed training programs for Wagner College’s Division 1 football team. She mentored student athletes, strength and conditioning interns, and helped create the strength and conditioning internship curriculum at Cortland.
Christina has also worked in Game Day and Event Operations for the New York Jets and International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship. She has provided operational support for pre-game, halftime, and post-game entertainment, along with promotional and community relations events.
She holds certifications in CPR/First Aid/AED, SafeSport Training, and USA Weightlifting Level 1, and is pursuing certification in Strength & Conditioning. Christina is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Weightlifting Organization.
