Bio

Alexandra Williams joined the University of Tampa sports medicine staff in 2023. She currently works with the men's soccer, swimming, and tennis teams.

Williams previously worked at Seffner Christian Academy as an athletic trainer from 202223. In that role, she oversaw the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes across multiple sports. She provided comprehensive injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services while collaborating closely with coaches, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care. She also coordinated weekly injury status reports and managed medical documentation and return-to-play protocols for the school’s athletics program.

She has also worked with the University of Tampa Men's Hockey team, USA Rugby, and USA Paralympic Sled Hockey.

A graduate of the University of Tampa, Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2022. During her time at UT, she gained extensive clinical experience working with NCAA Division II athletics, Cambridge Christian School, and Seffner Christian Academy. She evaluated and treated injuries both on the field and in the clinic, instructed rehabilitation plans, assisted with pre-participation and travel coverage, and conducted an independent study exploring education strategies that affect fear avoidance in student-athletes. She also earned a master's degree from ATSU in Sports Neurology and Concussion Specialization and is currently working towards her second master's degree from UT in Exercise Science and Nutrition.
