Tampa to Head to West Palm Beach For Two Matches
TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa beach volleyball heads to West Palm Beach for matches against Palm Beach Atlantic and the University of South Florida.
About the Spartans: Tampa bounced back from the Sandy Spartan Invitational with dominant victories at home, dropping only one game against Florida Gulf Coast before sweeping Eckerd. Hailey Wolfe and Nevaeh Wolfe, who were named Sunshine State Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week for their performance at the Sandy Spartan Invitational, earned the honor for the second consecutive week. Tampa now turns its attention to Palm Beach Atlantic, a team the Spartans have controlled in recent years, winning six straight matchups for a 9-2 all-time record against the Sailfish.
About South Florida: USF is in year one with its beach volleyball program.
About Palm Beach Atlantic: The Sailfish opened their 2025 season with five straight wins, including commanding victories over SSC opponents Florida Southern and Saint Leo. However, PBA struggled at the Florida International University Invitational, going 0-4 against tough competition, including No. 12 Florida Atlantic and FIU—both of whom defeated Tampa earlier this season. Across the four matches, Palm Beach Atlantic managed to win just one set while losing the other 19. Hosting this weekend's matches, the Sailfish will look to break their losing streak and capture their first win over Tampa since April 2022.
