Spartans Win Behind Woodburn's 4 RBI Night
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The #1 University of Tampa Spartans beat Georgia College behind Brayden Woodburn 4 RBI game.
Final: #1 Tampa Spartans 7, Georgia College Bobcats 4

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Jake Griffith singled and Anthony Nunez reached base on an error from the Bobcat's shortstop, Woodburn launched a home run over the right-center wall for a Spartan's early lead. Top 1 | 3-0 Tampa
- J.P. Gates would walk, and then Mike Valdez would smash a ball in a similar spot to where Woodburn's home run would land. It was Valdez's second home run in the past two days. Top 4 | 5-2 Tampa
- Griffith would get another rally started with a single through the left side of the infield. Stephen Klein then doubled to right field to bring home Griffith. Klein would later come around to score on a Woodburn sac fly. Top 5 | 7-2 Tampa

ON THE MOUND:
- Skylar Gonzalez picked up his third win of the season with 5 strong innings, without giving up any earned runs, 4 hits, and striking out 7.
- Andrew Carson followed in relief, pitching 3 innings, striking out 5 giving up 1 run on 1 hit.
- Drew Howard picked up his first save of the season, pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
