Undefeated Spartans Rise Nine Spots In National Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Tampa men's basketball team shot up nine spots in the NABC/Division II men's basketball rankings, coming in at No. 16 in Tuesday's release.
Last week, the Spartans were No. 25 to earn its first national recognition since the 2007-08 season when it was No. 13.
Head coach Richard Schmidt's Spartans host Saint Leo University on Wednesday at the Bob Martinez Sports Center as it aims to capture the best start in the program's 48 year history. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m..
Tampa is coming off a week where it won a pair of road contests, including a 77-70 triumph over then-No. 23 Eckerd College. UT concluded the week with a 72-65 victory at Lynn University.
UT go for its 15th win of the season on Wednesday against Saint Leo at 7:30 p.m. in the Bob Martinez Sports Center.
