HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
After back-and-forth scoring for the first 5 minutes of action and the game was tied at 7 points apiece, the Sailfish then went on a quick 5-0 run resulting in a 12-7 lead. After leading by nine a few minutes later, the Spartans then cut the sailfish lead to 4 with 10 minutes remaining in half after back-to-back threes by Jonathan Bryant II and Mykah Brown. Bryant, 2 minutes later, made another 3 to tie the game at 22-22. Following tying the game, the Spartans made five straight baskets to take a commanding 28-22, including 5 points from Bryant Brown. After some back-and-forth basketball, the sailfish come back to tie the score at 32 with a little under 2 minutes remaining in the first half. After two late minutes made free throws by Mykah Brown, the Spartans headed into the half up by 2. | Score: 34-32 Spartans
SECOND HALF
After a bucket by the Sailfish to open the half and tie the score at 34, the Spartans responded with a 7-0 run. After back-and-forth basketball, the Sailfish cut the Spartan's lead to 4 with over 12 minutes remaining in the game. The Spartans responded once again with an 8-0 run with half of those points coming from Mykah Brown, and Tampa was up 53-41 with 8 minutes remaining. The Sailfish found themselves down 10 with less than 3 minutes left; however, they made three straight baskets in a minute and found themselves down 4 with 2 minutes left.
