WEEK 10
Wednesday, Feb. 1, 7:30 P.M. @ Rollins
Saturday, Feb. 4, 4:00 P.M. @ Palm Beach Atlantic
Tampa looks to leap in the SSC standings this week.
SSC Teams with National Rankings: #2 Nova Southeastern
Tampa Spartan's Men's Basketball: (7-11, 6-6 SSC), Tied for #6 in the SSC with Rollins.
Tampa
- The Spartans had a huge 2nd half, and Mykah Brown's career-high 33-point performance propelled Tampa over the Lynn Fighting Knights. The Spartans head into the week with a 7-11 record but playing .500 basketball in the SSC. They sit tied for 6th with Rollins in the SSC and are only a half-game back and of being tied for 2nd with 4 other teams. Tampa heads into the week with two key SSC matchups against a surging Rollins team and a young but gritty Palm Atlantic squad.
Rollins
- The Tars have been playing some good basketball ever since their 5-point win over the Spartans when the two teams first matched up back on Jan. 7. They have won 5 of their last 7 games and are currently playing .500 basketball with a 10-10 record and a 6-6 record in SSC play. They look to continue their excellent play as of late as they take on the Spartans on Wednesday, Feb. 1, and the Barry Buccaneers on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Palm Beach Atlantic
- Due to their young roster, the Sailfish have been a very streaky team this year. They do not have any seniors on the roster; however, they are 10-9 and 6-7 in SSC. They had 2 impressive wins this past week over Florida Southern and Saint Leo. They look to create one of the biggest upsets of the year as they take on SSC juggernaut Nova Southeastern on Wednesday and follow it up with a competitive game as they host Tampa on Saturday.
